Bio

Benjamin Wagner brings a deep commitment to safety, education, and emergency response to his role as a CPR and First Aid Instructor at Guardian Training Center. Inspired by his mother, a seasoned law enforcement officer and instructor, Benjamin began his journey into Emergency Medical Services (EMS) three years ago and has since developed a strong foundation in the field. With experience as an EMT, ski patroller, and instructor, Benjamin thrives on teaching individuals and teams how to confidently and skillfully handle emergency situations.

A certified EMT Basic, Firefighter I, and HAZMAT responder, Benjamin has made it his mission to equip others with life-saving skills. His experience in rope rescue and hands-on emergency response brings a dynamic, realistic approach to his classes, helping students build the confidence to manage high-stress situations. Currently serving as a firefighter with the Tuolumne Fire District, Station 73, Benjamin is working toward his Firefighter II certification and Paramedic Licensing, demonstrating his continued dedication to growth and excellence. His extensive experience in medical response and rescue operations—whether it’s administering CPR, conducting rope rescue training, or providing first aid—offers students a unique and practical perspective.

Benjamin’s teaching sessions emphasize real-world scenarios, from mastering CPR and first aid techniques to handling complex rescue operations. His ability to adapt to various emergency situations, whether during a ski patrol at Dodge Ridge or in a HAZMAT training session, ensures that his students are prepared for any challenge. Benjamin is continually updating his curriculum, staying flexible and diligent in his research of new concepts and techniques, ensuring his students receive the most up-to-date, relevant instruction.

At GTC, Benjamin's teaching style is both engaging and approachable. He believes that learning should be interactive, enjoyable, and, most importantly, practical. His goal is to ensure every student leaves his class equipped with the essential tools and knowledge to save lives—whether they’re security professionals, first responders, or everyday individuals. As Benjamin puts it, "It’s better to have the skills and never need them than to need them and not have them."
